PlanWithHome is not a direct replacement for Centriq. It was built independently with a focus on Australian households and privacy-first design. Here are some differences to consider:
If you have been using Centriq and are considering PlanWithHome, the best approach is to start fresh with the items that matter most. Add your major appliances first — fridge, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, air conditioner. For each one, record the brand, model, serial number, purchase date and warranty period. Attach a photo of the serial plate and a copy of the receipt if you have it.
Once your appliances are in, add your electronics, furniture and other valuables. Then move on to insurance policies, utility accounts and subscription renewals. Because PlanWithHome connects records together, an appliance in your inventory automatically links to its warranty and any renewal reminders you set.
There is no right or wrong order. Add what makes sense for your household and build up the rest over time. Your data is private and you can export it whenever you need to.
PlanWithHome does not currently offer a Centriq data import tool. You would need to add your items manually or start fresh. If you are considering moving, check that PlanWithHome covers the features you need before switching.
